Lee Yeon Hee breaks a competition of 500 to 1 to get picked as the counterpart to Jo In Sung in a film
Lee Yeon Hee came through a competition of 500 to 1 to be selected as the counterpart to Jo In Sung in a film Kwonbup, or martial arts of the fist in Korean.
The film is a science fiction and fantasy which has long been prepared by proven director Park Gwang Hyeon who directed Welcome to Dongmakgol, one of the most favored films in Korea. Set in the future, it features a high school boy called Kwonbup, played by Jo In Sung, who acts out of righteous indignation and happens to meet Ray, played by Lee Yeon Hee, to develop a romantic relationship. They struggle to protect a deserted village.
Lee says, “Just the thought of playing in a film again makes my heart pleasant and flutter. I’m doing my best to transform myself into the new character in Kwonbup. Please keep your interest and support.”
The shooting will begin in earnest in October.

Lee Yeon Hee Cast in Jo In Sung’s Post-MS Movie Fist Fighting
Lee Yeon Hee is so beautiful that it’s a shame she really is such a limited actress. She gets to act with a bevy of top K-stars, and each time I just cringe when she starts to emote. My favorite Lee Yeon Hee performance is actually her bit part in Resurrection. Sigh. She’s just been cast as the female lead for Jo In Sung’s first post-MS project, the sci-fi/fantasy movie Fist Fighting (Korean title Kwon Bup or bare fist martial arts fighting).
Fist Fighting will be helmed by PD Park Kwang Hyun (Welcome to Dongmakgol), telling the story set of a high school senior living in a futuristic city possessing super-strength that he utilizes to right injustice. The movie will primarily be about his fight to save the village that is home to the girl he’s fallen in love with. Post-MS Jo In Sung as a high school senior is already a HUGE suspension of disbelief for me, but throw in some Lee Yeon Hee as a damsel in distress, and I’m not sure if this movie will fly with me.
The concept does sound cute, and K-movies have been doing well in the fantasy bent in recent years, such as Jeon Woo Chi. For some reason, I would totally have cast baby-Jo In Sung, aka Jang Geun Seok, and paired him with Kim So Eun. Now wouldn’t that be age-appropriate? Now that the leading lady has been cast, this movie looks to start filming in the beginning of Fall.
P.S. I think it’s amusingly ironic that Mr. Fist-in-Mouth’s (reference to WHIB) first post-MS comeback project will be a drama called fist fighting. Damn, I miss Jo In Sung’s brand of intensity. Definitely looking forward to seeing him back on screen and emoting his head off.

Actress Lee Yeon Hee flaunted her beautiful looks in a lovely blue maxi dress.
Currently, Lee Yeon Hee is the official spokesmodel for clothing brand Joinus. The actress dressed up in more of Joinus’ summer items for a brand new pictorial.
Joinus recently revealed a picture of Lee Yeon Hee in the brand’s newest maxi dress and the photo has already been garnering much attention. She showed off her “goddess” aura with both the dress and the setting of the photoshoot.
This maxi dress is sold in blue and red.

LEE YEON-HEE “BOA IS CHARMING WHEN SHE DRINKS MAKGEOLLI”
Actress Lee Yeon-hee revealed the drinking habits of her best friend singer BoA.
MBC “Section TV” visited Lee Yeon-hee at her photo collection shoot on the 10th of July.
When the reporter asked her, “I heard you and singer BoA were makgeolli friends?” she replied, “She really likes makgeolli”.
She continued nervously, “When BoA drinks makgeolli she becomes charming. I shouldn’t be saying this”.
The reporter mentioned the movie “My Love” as an example and asked, “Aren’t you the one with the charms?” Lee Yeon-hee answered emphasizing her lack of charm, “It’s a misunderstanding, acting is acting”.
Meanwhile, Lee Yeon-hee sent a video message to Hyeon Bin who did commercials with her, “I hope you spend a comfortable army life”.
